| |||||||
Dombret recently spoke at a Schroders seminar on the European debt crisis, where he shared his insights into the structural reforms that are necessary to achieve an enduring and successful monetary union. Recently, we have seen a marked improvement in the eurozone. The bloc has finally emerged from six consecutive quarters of recession and financial markets have recovered somewhat. According to Dombret, the road leading out of the crisis is just as long but much more difficult, particularly for those countries which are directly affected by this crisis than the road that led to it". Dombret looked back at the origins of the crisis and shared his viewson the structural reforms that, in his view, are necessary to achieve an enduring and successful monetary union.
